Over the past few weeks we had the opportunity to test the Samsung The Frame Pro LS03H in the 65-inch version, and we now share our experience.
There are televisions that disappear into the wall when switched off, and there are televisions that become part of the décor even when they are not broadcasting. The Samsung The Frame Pro LS03H clearly belongs to the second group, and the 65-inch model we tested is probably the brand’s most convincing proposition for anyone who wants technology and art to coexist in the same room without compromise.
The 65-inch Frame Pro LS03H combines an anti-glare Neo QLED panel with Art Mode, wireless One Connect connectivity, and customisable magnetic frames to create a television that genuinely transforms into a picture frame when not in use.
The brightness sensor automatically adapts luminosity to the environment, the motion sensor activates and deactivates Art Mode depending on whether anyone is in the room, and access to over 3,000 works of art from the Samsung Art Store or the monthly free broadcasts completes a proposition that genuinely caters to those who value the aesthetics of their space as much as image quality.
The Wireless One Connect transmits the signal from all connected devices wirelessly up to 10 metres, eliminating the cables that would otherwise reveal that it is a television and not a picture frame.
The Slim Fit stand keeps the screen virtually flush with the wall to complete the illusion.
As for the price, the Samsung The Frame Pro LS03H is available for €1,899.
Design and build quality
With the focus firmly on the image, the Samsung The Frame Pro LS03H presents a minimalist and discreet design.
This television features a very slim bezel housing a 65-inch (165cm diagonal) screen with anti-glare Neo QLED technology.
Beyond the screen, on the front we only find the physical control buttons in a protruding area in the bottom right corner.
On the back there is a VESA mount for an ultra-slim bracket that allows the TV to sit flush against the wall, along with a section with a micro HDMI and USB connector.
The limited number of ports is due to this television using the Wireless One Connect Box for connectivity, which we discuss further on.
Included with the Samsung The Frame Pro LS03H is a white plastic remote control with navigation buttons and streaming service shortcuts.
On the back it has a solar panel to keep it charged when left resting on the sofa.
Optional frame for a more decorative look
For those who want to bring the aesthetic of this television even closer to a digital picture frame, magnetic frames can be added to the set.
There are several options to choose from, with wood-effect frames being the preferred choice for truly mimicking the look of a picture frame.
Being magnetic, these frames simply click onto the television’s bezel and can be swapped as many times as you like.
Wireless One Connect Box
The Samsung The Frame Pro LS03H comes with a dedicated box that centralises all connectivity in one place and transmits it wirelessly to the television.
This solution is particularly useful when you want to mount the TV on the wall and do not have a way to route HDMI cables behind the wall, avoiding the need for a cable trunking.
This way, all set-top boxes, consoles, speakers, and other accessories connect directly to the Wireless One Connect, which then transmits the signal to the TV within a 10-metre range.
This system works well and significantly reduces the number of cables running across your equipment setup.
Installation
Installation is quite simple and can be done either on the wall using the VESA mount, or on a piece of furniture using the feet included in the box.
If you opt for the stand feet, installation is straightforward — simply screw them into the frame.
If you choose to mount it on the wall, the Slim Fit wall bracket keeps the TV virtually flush against the wall for a true picture frame effect.
In this case, the only thing to pay attention to is the space for the power socket. If your power point is behind the television, make sure there is enough clearance for it to fit without forcing anything.
Image quality with anti-glare technology
The Samsung The Frame Pro LS03H offers the high image quality Samsung has accustomed us to.
In addition to well-saturated colours that catch the eye, black levels are good and sharpness and overall image quality are above average.
However, viewing angles could be better — the image darkens somewhat when viewed from the side. This may be an issue for those with sofas positioned at an angle or in an L-shape relative to the television.
One of the screen’s major highlights is the anti-glare layer, which completely eliminates reflections from the surrounding environment — especially useful when the television is near exterior windows.
To ensure the best colour representation, it also holds PANTONE ArtfulColor certification.
Unfortunately, some important imaging technologies that are almost expected at this price point are missing, including DTS and Dolby Vision.
Art Mode
Beyond all its premium features, the Samsung The Frame Pro LS03H stands out for a special function that is essentially revealed in the product’s name.
This television is designed for a 2-in-1 function — in addition to watching video content, it can be transformed into a frame to decorate your space.
For this, Samsung provides an entire store filled with works of art that can be downloaded to the television for use in this mode.
Alternatively, the SmartThings app can be used to upload your own photos and create a background with your own images, as if it were a giant personal picture frame.
Once the desired image is selected, you can also choose whether to add a mat border, and customise its colour and width.
To make activating and deactivating this feature easy, a single press of the power button on the remote enters and exits Art Mode. It can also be configured to activate automatically when presence is detected in the room and switch off when the room is empty.
Sound quality
In terms of sound, the Samsung The Frame Pro LS03H performs at a good level.
Being a built-in TV speaker system, we cannot expect the performance of a dedicated audio setup, but the quality is quite acceptable for watching films or series.
In the settings, the television also allows an AI sound mode to be activated, enabling it to automatically adjust volume and other parameters as needed.
Software
In terms of software, Samsung televisions are not known for having the most straightforward interface.
On the Frame Pro LS03H, switching it on takes you straight to a home menu where you can navigate through various options, with the main homepage already showing the features you use most.
Along the top there are 5 tabs — in addition to the home tab, there is Art Mode, a section with free live programme broadcasts, an area for regularly used apps, and a final section to download and discover new apps.
Also in the top menu there is an area to interact with the Samsung Vision AI Companion, which is powered by Bixby, although it is not available in European Portuguese — requiring use of Brazilian Portuguese or English — along with settings and quick access shortcuts.
While it does not have the app library of Google TV, there are already several apps included — such as streaming platforms, Google Photos, a browser, and others — including many Portugal-specific apps such as those from local operators.
Another interesting integration in this system is SmartThings, an app for smartphones and other platforms that allows the entire Samsung ecosystem to be managed centrally.
In addition to allowing the television to be controlled remotely, it also enables integration with other IoT devices. In our case, we tested it with a Ring doorbell, whose live image became viewable directly from the television screen.
Who is the Samsung The Frame Pro LS03H for?
The Samsung The Frame Pro LS03H is aimed at a very specific type of user, and it is important to be clear about this before recommending it. It is not the right television for anyone simply wanting the best image quality for the best price. It is the right choice for those who see the television as part of the home’s décor and do not want it to detract from the space when not in use.
For those living in apartments or homes where the design and aesthetics of the space are a priority, the Frame Pro solves a real problem. A 65-inch television is inevitably the dominant visual element in a living room, and most conventional TVs become a blank black rectangle when switched off. The Frame Pro replaces that void with a work of art, a personal photograph, or any image of the user’s choosing, keeping the space visually alive.
It is also the natural choice for those already within the Samsung ecosystem who want to take advantage of SmartThings integration — whether to control a doorbell, view security cameras on the big screen, or connect other smart home devices.
For those who use the television primarily for gaming or for heavy content consumption with friends and family seated at the sides or in an L-shaped arrangement, there are two points to consider. The Neo QLED panel’s viewing angles have limitations that become noticeable when the image is seen from the side, and at €1,899 there are televisions with OLED panels that offer deeper blacks and wider viewing angles for those specific use cases.
At €1,899, the Frame Pro makes sense for those who value design as much as image quality and want a television that is as much a piece of furniture as it is a screen.
Verdict on the Samsung The Frame Pro LS03H
The Samsung The Frame Pro LS03H is a television that convincingly delivers on its main proposition: disappearing as a television and transforming into a decorative piece when not in use. It is the right product for those who have this specific problem, and the wrong one for those who do not.
Image quality is excellent, with the anti-glare Neo QLED panel probably being the most impressive aspect in day-to-day use. The anti-glare layer is not just marketing — it makes a real difference in rooms with windows or strong lighting, and eliminates one of the most common problems with large-format televisions.
Colours are well saturated with PANTONE ArtfulColor certification, black levels are consistent, and sharpness is at the level Samsung has made us accustomed to. The viewing angle limitation is the only image quality point worth noting, particularly in rooms where seating is arranged at an angle.
Art Mode is genuinely well implemented. The automatic activation via motion sensor, the ambient brightness adjustment, and the smooth transition between television and picture frame all work without any user intervention after the initial setup. The Art Store offers a varied selection and the monthly free broadcasts are a welcome addition that keeps the content feeling fresh.
The Wireless One Connect is an elegant solution to the cable problem, especially for wall-mounted installations. It works well and delivers on its promise, although some care is needed in positioning to ensure a stable signal at greater distances.
The less positive point is the software. Tizen is not the most intuitive interface on the market, and Samsung Vision AI Companion — which runs on Bixby — has no European Portuguese support. Anyone wanting to use voice commands will need to switch to Brazilian Portuguese or English, which limits the practical usefulness of this feature for most Portuguese users.
