June was an intense month in the techbit lab, with seventeen products passing through our hands across categories as different as smartphones, smart home, wearables and portable power. This is the first edition of a monthly column where we bring together, in one place, every review published in the previous month.
The idea is simple. If you follow techbit occasionally, or if you want to compare products tested in the same period, this roundup saves you time browsing the site and shows, organised by category, what we thought of each product after testing it properly, with real use rather than just spec sheets.
Smartphones
In smartphones, the standout was the OPPO Find X9 Ultra, the first device in the brand’s Ultra line to officially reach Europe. With four cameras developed in partnership with Hasselblad, including a periscope lens with 10x optical zoom, this is one of the best camera phones we’ve tested, scoring 9.2, with our only reservation being the slightly unnatural position of the physical camera button.
In the mid-range, the Xiaomi 17T surprised us by including, for the first time in this line, a periscope telephoto lens with Leica tuning, delivering photographic results on par with many flagships without the flagship price, earning it 9.1 points. The Honor 600 put everything into its 200MP main camera and solid battery life, though the design still leans heavily on the iPhone, closing out at 8.6.

Smartwatches and wearables
In smartwatches, the OPPO Watch X3 brought premium titanium construction and full WearOS integration, even though real-world battery life of 3 to 4 days falls short of the 5 days claimed by the brand, resulting in a score of 8.6. The Xiaomi Watch S5 went further on battery life, lasting a full two weeks with very detailed health monitoring, though limited notification interaction on HyperOS 3 weighed slightly on our 8.9 score.
For those who prefer a more discreet format, the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro sits between a traditional smart band and a smartwatch, with a generous display, good sports tracking and battery life that reached around 13 days in our testing, also earning 8.9 points.

Smart glasses
We also tested two very different proposals in this space. The DT H03 present themselves as the budget alternative to Meta Ray-Ban, with a surprisingly capable Sony 8MP camera for under 50€, though the sound suffers from a lack of bass, resulting in a score of 8.0. The Polaris Nexus, from Wells, focus on speaker and microphone temples for music and calls rather than a camera, with good call quality but more limited sound for music, closing at 8.3.
Smart home and security
It was a particularly strong month for home security. The AJAX StarterKit Cam Plus confirmed why it’s one of the most respected intrusion systems on the market, with photo verification of alarms in under nine seconds and strong scalability, reaching 8.8 points. The Worten x Reolink kit with the REOLINK Argus Series B350 and HomeHub brought solar-powered outdoor cameras with encrypted local storage and no subscription fees, also scoring 8.8, though the cameras’ Wi-Fi range can fall short in well-insulated homes.
On the WELOCK U71 smart lock, the big selling point is that it manages to please the whole family, since it keeps the option of a traditional key alongside fingerprint, PIN code and NFC tags, scoring 8.7. For anyone who just wants to stop losing their keys or bag, the Xiaomi Tag was the surprise of the month, priced well below the competition and compatible with both Apple’s and Google’s location networks, albeit not at the same time, earning it June’s highest score, 9.5.

Audio
In headphones, the JBL Live 780NC proved to be a solid mid-range choice, with battery life stretching across weeks of normal use and sound that only really shines once adjusted in the app’s equaliser, earning them 8.9 points.

Computers and monitors
On the laptop side, the HP OmniBook X 14 stood out for its balance of performance, slim design and battery life that comfortably covers a full day of work, finishing at 8.8. The UPERFECT BE156EF solves a very specific problem, that of having a truly portable, wireless second screen thanks to its built-in battery and Miracast or AirPlay connection, reaching 8.5 points, with the caveat that a cable connection still delivers the best image quality.

Pets
For cat owners, the PETKIT PuraMax 2 fully automates litter cleaning, going up to 15 days without needing to empty the bin and offering a solid set of safety sensors, reaching 8.8 points, as long as the cat cooperates with adapting to the new box.

Power
Finally, in portable power, the BLUETTI Elite 100 V2 proved to be one of the most well-rounded stations we’ve tested at this capacity, with a full charge in just over an hour and a UPS function with 10-millisecond switchover, earning it 8.5 points.
That’s our roundup of a busy month, and there’s more on the way. We keep testing new products every week, so if you don’t want to miss the next reviews, the best way is to subscribe to our newsletter or follow us on social media.
About our reviews
This column is published monthly, always summarising every review carried out in the previous month, organised by category.
We work with brands across a wide range of categories, from smartphones to smart home, and we choose which products to cover based on relevance to our readers and genuine interest in evaluating their real-world performance.
Products are provided by brands for review, but our opinions and scores always reflect our own real-world experience of using them, with no editorial strings attached.
