September was a strong comeback month for reviews on Techbit, with eighteen products tested across smartphones, smartwatches, earphones, laptops, monitors, and even an electric car.
This is the fourth edition of our monthly round-up, bringing together all the reviews published in the previous month.
Among the month’s highlights are two products that scored above 9, but also several that made us think carefully about who they really make sense for. As always, everything here is the result of real-world testing carried out over weeks of use.
Smartphones
In the upper mid-range, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G was the month’s biggest surprise. The 9,210mAh battery genuinely lasted the three days Xiaomi promised under our normal use, with 27W reverse charging and a back that changes colour in sunlight — earning it 9.0 points at €599.99.

The OPPO Reno16 Pro confirmed itself as a safe bet for those who value photography, with a 200MP main camera and 6,000mAh battery — though the 120x digital zoom fails to convince and the charger is not included in the box, landing it at 8.4 points for €849.

Smartwatch
The HUAWEI Watch GT 7 Pro made its debut with titanium and sapphire glass construction, the new EasyCross strap, and features dedicated to snow sports, with around 10 days of battery life in regular use.
The limited app store and the need to install the Huawei Health app outside the Play Store on Android are the weak points of this 8.8-point proposition at €429.99.

Audio
In headphones, the Sony 1000X THE COLLEXION goes for a luxury design in synthetic leather and metal with a very well-tuned sound and around two weeks of battery life in normal use, reaching 8.9 points — though the €630 price makes it a very specific proposition.
For those looking for something more accessible, the HUAWEI FreeBuds NEO deliver 30dB active noise cancellation and a surprisingly capable triple microphone system for €129 — or €99 at launch price — closing at 8.8 points.

Also in the HUAWEI earphones category, the HUAWEI FreeClip 2 S opt for an open-ear format with a metallic finish that led several people to mistake them for a piercing. At just 5.1 grams per earphone they are very comfortable, deliver surprisingly deep bass for this format, and last around a week of daily use with the case — though the touch volume control tends to dislodge the earphones and the round case is awkward in a pocket. At €229 they are well positioned against considerably more expensive alternatives, earning 8.9 points.

Laptops
The ASUS Zenbook DUO (UX8407) was the month’s highest-scoring review, at 9.3 points. Two 14-inch OLED displays, a detachable keyboard, and a real-world 12-hour battery life with both screens active justify a unique proposition — though €3,099.99 makes it exclusive to those who will genuinely make the most of the versatility.

At the opposite end of the price scale, the MacBook Neo showed that an iPhone processor is more than enough for everyday tasks, with multi-day battery life and a metal build for €799 — with the caveats of just two USB-C ports and a keyboard without backlighting — reaching 8.7 points.

Monitors and office
For those who spend the day at a desk, the Philips 40B1U5600 brought 40 inches in ultrawide format with an integrated KVM switch and USB-C for €585 — effectively replacing two monitors and earning 8.8 points.
In gaming, the AGON PRO AGP277QKDC is a 27-inch OLED monitor that reaches 720Hz and covers burn-in under warranty, earning 9.2 points for €899.

To complete the workstation, the MUSSO X700 GlideTrack chair opts for a dynamic lumbar support and 150-degree recline, earning 8.8 points for €399.99.

Cars
The electric Nissan Micra returned with a much more fun and youthful profile, sharing its platform with the Renault 5. The agile driving and Android Automotive were highlights, but the number of steering wheel buttons and real-world motorway range below the claimed figure kept it at 8.5 points, with prices from €28,365.

For those wanting to add streaming to the car, the OTTOCAST Play2Video Ultra converts wired CarPlay to wireless and adds Netflix, Prime Video, and IPTV to the car’s screen for €89 — with Bluetooth call handling as the only weak point — earning 8.8 points.

Smart home and cleaning
In home automation, the Sonoff Fusion Orb-RBS is a complete Matter-compatible blind switch for just €19.99 — though it requires a neutral wire in the back box — reaching 8.7 points.
The Govee Smart Outdoor S14 Bulb String Lights 2 brought IP66-rated outdoor string lights with music sync, from €69.99 for the 15-metre version, earning 8.6 points.

In cleaning, the Dreame T12 Pro showed that a lightweight wet-and-dry vacuum without app connectivity can still be very effective for €319, earning 8.6 points.

Home gadgets
The Ermonix HydroVase is a hydroponic planter with an integrated light that grows flowers without natural light — but the 170ml reservoir and Micro-USB connector held it to 8.0 points at €69.95.

The PICPAK Mini E-Ink Album is a magnetic e-ink photo frame that sticks to the fridge and lasts months without charging — a charming and distinctive way to display your photos, earning 8.8 points.

This was another full month of testing, and we continue working every week to bring honest reviews based on real-world use. If you do not want to miss the next ones, subscribe to our newsletter or follow us on social media.
