August was the busiest month of the year at Techbit, with eighteen products tested across smartphones, smartwatches, laptops, electric cars, and garden robots.
This is the third edition of our monthly roundup, where we bring together every review published in the previous month.
This month also saw the Galaxy Unpacked and Made by Google events, along with a long-term revisit of one of the most-used robot hoovers in the office. As always, everything here comes from real, extended testing.

Smartphones
On the Google side, the Pixel 11 Pro XL brought few visible changes but a noticeably faster day-to-day experience, with the new HiLight impressing more for its future potential than its current use, scoring 9.3.
Samsung presented two distinct foldables: the Galaxy Z Fold8, with its squarer format designed for media consumption that won us over after an adjustment period, scoring 9.0 on review, and the Galaxy Z Flip8, now slimmer and lighter, though with a tendency to warm up under heavier use, closing at 8.9.
Smartwatch
It was a big month for smartwatches. The Google Pixel Watch 5 became one of the office favourites of 2026, with significantly improved battery life over its predecessor despite a smaller case, scoring 9.4.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm surprised with its comfort and extremely accurate sleep monitoring, with battery life and slow charging being the only drawbacks — scoring 9.1 in our review.
We also had the opportunity to test the HUAWEI Watch GT 7 Pro ahead of its official 2 September launch, with the new strap and the newly arrived ski mode standing out.
Audio
On the earphones front, the Sony WF-1000XM6 left us with mixed feelings — balanced sound but an in-ear fit that does not always guarantee ideal isolation — finishing at 8.3.
Laptops and work accessories
The HP Elitebook X Flip G2i was one of the month’s highlights — a professional 2-in-1 laptop with a 360-degree screen and a built-in stylus, scoring 9.4.
To complement the workspace, we also tested the Lenovo Yoga Bluetooth Silent Mouse, with very quiet clicks and simultaneous connection to three devices, scoring 8.9, and the Lenovo 310 FHD Webcam, a simple plug-and-play solution for anyone wanting to improve video call quality, scoring 8.8.
Gaming
For those looking for a gaming laptop, the HyperX OMEN 15 struck a good balance between portability and performance, with battery life being the most inconsistent aspect, scoring 8.8.
The HyperX OMEN 24 G2 monitor confirmed itself as a solid good-value option with a 180Hz refresh rate for under €150, scoring 8.9.
Cars
The Polestar 3 was our car review of the month — an electric SUV that surprised with its sporting driving character and Android Automotive with Google integration, with the physical key being the main point to revisit, finishing at 8.2.
Smart home and cleaning
In home cleaning, the Dyson V16 Piston Animal Submarine combined vacuuming and wet mopping in a single 3-in-1 device, scoring 8.8.
We also ran a long-term check-in with a year of use of the Dreame X50 Ultra, which continues to impress for its consistency even in a home with five animals, despite still occasionally struggling to return to its base.
The Dreame MF10 divided opinions, with an elegant design that compensates for a weaker airflow than a traditional fan, closing at 7.6.
Garden
In the garden, the Anthbot M9 Pro introduced the new HoloSense Quad-Fusion navigation system with 360-degree LiDAR — more precise than the Genie 800 but still improving on lateral obstacle detection — scoring 9.0.
Everyday gadgets
Finally, WUBEN brought two new torches this month. The WUBEN X5 combines a main torch, UV light, and green laser in a single pocket-sized body, scoring 8.5, while the Wuben E2 PULSE — the size of an AirPod — surprised with the number of lighting modes it manages to offer, scoring 8.4.
This was the most intensive month of the year so far, and September looks set to keep the same pace. If you do not want to miss the next reviews, subscribe to our newsletter or follow us on social media.
